the embodiment of ecological intelligence within the moving, perceiving body - Echoes of land
outdoors* explorations of the living, ever-changing landscape of our bodies and surroundings. Together, we nurture a collective care and awareness, allowing movement to flow naturally and intuitively
During this 2-hour session we will have a creative and nourishing time. We engage with somatic movement practice (BMC®), exploring our relationship with gravity, anatomy, and the environment. Through these experiences, we cultivate ecological embodiment, and a shared sense of community rooted in our connection to the natural world.

This workshop explore Somatic Movement to help us connect with ecosystems and our bodies. Through movement, improvisation, and outdoor observation, we’ll develop ecological awareness, balance, and adaptability.
Everyone interested is welcome—this is an inclusive space for playful exploration, curiosity, and a deeper connection with nature.
During this workshop, we will use Somatic Practice (Body-Mind Centering® approach) to deepen our connection with nature and cultivate ecological embodiment.
We will explore:
for a day of exploration, connection, and creativity!

In these online Somatic Movement classes we explore Body-Mind Centering principles in our own space, the body, at home and still connecting with Nature and the wider space surrounding us. We work with touch, eyes closed, vocalising, visualising and experiencing our anatomical structure and body systems.
From its awareness the moving body becomes an instrument of unfolding knowledge and awareness.

You will develop a deep sense of embodiment together with your own individual and unique knowledge and awareness of the moving body. We work in bare feet, wear comfortable clothes and have water with you. Have also a notebook and some coloring materials which we will be using for reflective writing and drawing during the session.
Possible times available are:

"....The way Monica teaches really gives you a strong connection to yourself, also to others when contact is used. And it really becomes a moving meditation for me..... the way that Monica holds the space is just perfect and I can tell she views everything and everyone from a healers eye. An authentic teacher who I feel lucky to have found in Edinburgh. And with it I have also found a community I didn't even know I was looking for ..."

' I really enjoyed the workshop. I really enjoyed the part of homeostasis with the paint in the water and the exercises after to experience homeostasis with the dance with the others. The 'experiential anatomy' was also very inspiring to connect with our own body. And I surely enjoyed the somatic dance and connection with other people as well :)'

'What a gift it was, it really nourished my curiosity and my own practice and I'm so glad I came. I appreciated the varied stimuli to experience the same idea (images, partnerwork, outdoors, solo etc) as I think this really helps me process in a deeper way.'

'So glad I could attend your wonderful workshop today. So finely tuned and sensed in every way. A joy.
I realise that though much of the movement work I do involves somatic work, I have never actually attended a workshop with a clear focus on somatic work. I found the use of images really helped the movement and talk sink in, and the simple experiment with coloured water in water opened up different levels of understanding. All still very alive in me. Thank you. I hope to attend another of your workshops one day.'
